Joseph McClarty was chosen as the next High School/Middle School Assistant Principal by the district’s Board of Education on February 21st, 2024. He will begin his duties on August 1st, 2024.
McClarty has worked in education for 21 years all at New Madrid County R-1 School District. He has been a teacher at all three levels (elementary, middle and high school). During that time he coached football and baseball with the last 12 years serving as the head baseball coach for the Eagles. Mr. McClarty said, “My family (wife Tricia and children Carson, Audrey and Addison) and I are excited to start this new chapter at Scott City. I appreciate the board for giving me this opportunity to serve as your Assistant Principal at the High School and Middle School. Thank you for choosing me to be on your team. Let’s Go Rams!”
