3rd and 4th graders had a fun filled afternoon celebrating all of their hard work on the MAP test. We even got to learn about how a bracket works in a tournament. A big shoutout to Mrs. Cossey, Coach Vazquez, Coach Terrell, and all of the 3rd and 4th grade teachers for making today an amazing day for our students! #WeAreSCE

The Scott City High School National Honor Society (NHS), recently enjoyed a field trip to the Discovery Park Museum in Union City, TN. NHS members are high achieving academic students that exhibit good character and give of themselves within our community. #SCWeR1

Congratulations to Junior Tubist Nathan Palmer for earning a gold medal at MSHSAA state music festival! You can hear him perform his gold medal piece, "The Egotistical Elephant," Thursday May 9th at the band Spring Concert in the FEMA building. The middle school will perform at 5:30, and the high school jazz and concert bands will play at 6:30. #SCWeR1

Scott City High School's Prom was held on Saturday, April 27th at the Front Porch. The students celebrated with a "Neon Night" theme and had a great evening of dancing! Congratulations to Drake and Logan, as they were crowned Prom King and Queen! #SCWeR1

The SEMO Electric Cooperative offers area high school students an opportunity to apply for their scholarship if they receive a utility service from them. This year, six Scott City seniors received this scholarship. Congratulations to Hannah Perkins, Mackenzie Lawless, Brenden Beussink, Kalen Conner, Harley Glueck, and Logan Schiwitz for receiving this year’s scholarships! The Scott City High School Honor Banquet was Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at the high school gym. After a delicious meal, students were recognized for having a 3.7/4.0 grade point average or higher for each of the first three quarters of this year. Several seniors were also awarded scholarships at the event. The recipients of the Scott City Kiwanis Scholarship were Tess Glastetter, Lilly Nichol, and Nichita Vendin. The OCCF Scholarship, a partnership between Ozarks Technical Community College, rootEd Missouri, and the Orange County Community Foundation/Thompson Family Foundation, was awarded to Tyler Braun for entering a career or technical training-bound program. Harley Glueck was presented with The National Wild Turkey Federation Scholarship. Those who received the In Memory of Eric Uhrhan Scholarship were Harley Glueck, Lawson Graff, Hattie Jones, Torrin Johnson, Mackenzie Lawless, Tyson Underwood, and Drake Wilhelm. The Dominic Hooper Memorial Scholarships were awarded to Danielle Beard, Brenden Beussink, Carly Blaylock, Brayden Braun, Tyler Braun, Harley Glueck, Hannah Heise, Reese Holder, Torrin Johnson, Hattie Jones, Emilie Rhyne, Levi Senn, Tyson Underwood, and Ava Uelsmann. The Aden Perry Good Samaritan Awards went to Harley Glueck, Hattie Jones, Mark Panagos, Emilie Rhyne, Tyson Underwood, and Ian Weber. Congratulations to all, and thanks to everyone who helped raise money for these scholarships that are aiding our students!



Mrs. Hensley is currently a 2nd grade teacher at Scott City Elementary. She has given over 25 years of service to education, all at SC! We greatly appreciate her service to our school! She will retire in June of 2024. #SCE
