What an amazing afternoon collaborating with area educators and legislators on ways to improve childhood literacy. State Senator Holly Rehder led a public forum, joined by Senator Karla Eslinger and Senator Karla May at Southeast Missouri State University’s River Campus. Mrs. Stephanie Lee, 3rd grade teacher and fearless leader at Scott City Elementary, was one of four area educators to sit on the expert panel. The purpose was to discuss the importance of reading competency and seek input on potential legislative solutions. Thank you Senator Rehder, Senator Eslinger, and Senator May for taking the time to host these panels. Thank you for listening and gaining perspectives from those in the trenches. #WeAreSCE #SCFearlessLeaders
