Scott City High School Art Club had a Rock'n good time on their annual field trip to downtown Cape Girardeau. Wednesday, the art club started at the Catapult Creative Center, then to the Southeast Missouri Arts Council, the Crisp Museum at the SEMO River Campus, and ended with an amazing visit to River Radio station's Real Rock 99.3. Thank you to everyone who participated in the blood drive. We collected 88 units, exceeding our goal by 13 units and beating Chaffee in the Blood Battle!! Way to go everyone!

The Scott City R-1 School District is seeking highly qualified applicants for 1 open position as the Director of Facilities to begin immediately. Applicants should have experience in plumbing, electrical and HVAC maintenance. Experience in leading improvement projects and teams is highly preferred. Fine Arts Night-March 10th at 7:00pm in the FEMA The Art departments will kick off the evening at 5 pm with an open house of art displays of our students k-12 in the foyer of the FEMA building. At 7 pm, our High School Theater department will perform several pieces, followed by our Elementary/Middle School Honor choir with folk songs and hymns, and to finish the evening our High School Jazz Band will perform!!! We are looking forward to a fun evening of seeing the MANY DIFFERENT talents of our students and hope to see you there!!

March 7-10 is Volleyball Spirit Week for SCMS! Students who come to the game dressed up will get free admission!

Congratulations to all SC band students who competed at districts today! The SC Tuba Quartet received a 2 rating, and Senior Keaton Lacey qualified for state contest on Tuba and Piano! Go Rams



Representatives from Scott County Children’s Division will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 4:00pm on Saturday, March 5th. They will be providing detailed information on foster parenting and related services. If you are interested in becoming a foster parent, please consider attending this meeting.

Today 27 Guidance Advisory Students and the 2 sponsors went to the SEMO Food Bank and packaged 1069 boxes for families in need.
