12 members of the GAS club went to help at the SEMO Food Bank in Sikeston. As you can see, all the students, sponsors and the bus driver were hard at work. We packaged 500 boxes of food for senior citizens in the counties supported by the Food Bank
Thanksgiving Feast food drive. Please help us collect food for our Thanksgiving Feast. Our feast will be in the cafeteria on Thanksgiving day from 11:00 -1:00 pm. The Scott City R-1 School District is seeking qualified applicants for full time special education classroom assistants and/or personal assistants. 60+ college hours required or willingness to complete 20 hours of online training through DESE in order to obtain a substitute teacher certificate. Thanks so much to the SEMO music department for inviting our bands to their Wind Ensemble Concert last night. It was a great experience for our 6th through 12 graders!
Reminder: CTC is IN session tomorrow Thursday, October 28th. CTC will NOT be in session Friday, October 29th. CTC WILL be in session on Monday November 1st. CTC bus will run as normal. Scott City FBLA Officers (Co-Presidents Avarie O'Brien and Heather Phillips, Treasurer Zoe Minton, and Secretary Ian Weber), attended the District 15 Fall Planning Meeting on October 25 at Jackson High School. After the business meeting, students participated in various teamworking and leadership activities with other FBLA members from 15 area schools.
