Middle school JAG (Jobs for Amercia's Graduates) students Annabella Walton, Mollie Rose and Katheryn Huckstep attended the JAG Career Development Conference. This was the first ever conference held for middle schools. Way to represent us Rams! 🐏💼 #SCWeR1

Congratulations to yearbook adviser, Mrs. Sarah Pruden and the high school staff for being awarded Jostens, "Program of Excellence" recognition for the second consecutive year! Nationally, only five percent of schools obtain this status. The district's Jostens representative had seven of her 122 area schools achieve this status. Way to go Rams! 🐏📸 #SCWeR1

Scott City JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) volunteered at the Southeast Missouri Food Bank. They packed 680 boxes for families in need just in time for the holiday season. Way to go Rams! 🐏❤️ #SCWeR1

Have you ever wanted to become a substitute teacher but didn't have enough college credits? It's possible by attending a Missouri Department of Elementary & Secondary Education training session! Scott City R-1, in cooperation with Mineral Area College, is offering this training for free (to qualifying applicants)! The training will be held at Scott City High School on December 2nd, 4th, 9th, 11th and 13th. All sessions will be held in room 25 from 4-8pm. Follow the directions in the flyer to get registered. Last week, Sophomore, Asher Spinks, qualified for the Class 2 Boys 5K State Meet in Cross Country! He was celebrated with a parade around the high school led by the marching band. He competed last weekend and despite the rain, wind, and mud, Asher improved by 10 places from last year and finished 51st out of 161 boys! The GAS (Guidance Advisory Students) students sent cards to the Delta South Nursing Home and the Veteran's Home for Halloween. Many residents do not receive anything for most holidays, so GAS club wanted to spread some "spooky cheer" this Halloween season.
