🌟 Staff Spotlight: Honoring Mrs. Stacy Cossey 🌟
With more than 20 years in education, Mrs. Cossey has left a lasting mark on countless students and families. After 13 years in the classroom, she transitioned to serving as an elementary counselor—where for the past 11 years, she’s been a true advocate for student well-being. For seven of those years, we’ve been blessed to have her at SCE. 💙💛
✨ A fierce supporter of social-emotional learning, she helps students grow through whole-group lessons, individual sessions, and by building a trauma-informed culture.
✨ She leads with heart—mentoring staff, guiding the “Awesome Ambassadors,” and spearheading our annual SCE Christmas Store.
✨ Her servant leadership extends beyond our walls as she connects families with resources and collaborates with community partners.
Outside of school, she’s a proud wife to Mike, mom to Ethan and Kayla, and dog mom to Holly (a retired therapy dog) and Hunny the golden doodle. 🐾

Due to the Homecoming parade on 9/22 being canceled, we've come up with a tentative plan to make sure our students still get to celebrate!
Chaffee High School has graciously invited our school organizations and teams to participate in their parade this Saturday, 9/27. The parade kicks off at 2 PM, starting at the high school and moving down Yoakum and Main Street before ending near the HeadStart building.
If you're interested in participating, please call the HS Office at (573) 264-2131, so we can share your plans with the Chaffee administration. All participants should meet at the football parking lot on the west side of Chaffee's campus by 1:15 PM.
We are also working to reschedule a new parade date in Scott City for later this fall. All teams and groups that were planning to participate in the original parade on 9/22 will be able to join us on the new date. Stay tuned for more details!
