Just a reminder that students in 6th grade and below must be accompanied by an adult to all SCR1 games and events. Students should not be dropped off and left without supervision. If a student is found to be at a game without an adult, they will be asked to call their parent/guardian to come pick them up. Thank you for your cooperation.

Last week, our JAG (Jobs for America's Graduates) students attended Build My Future. Build My Future is a one day, interactive, construction career day targeting students in the 9th through 12th grades. Hey Rams! Scott City Elementary is having a Pumpkin Decorating Contest to raise money for our Water Project. Have fun this fall while contributing to a great cause! 🐏💧 #SCWeR1
Contest Rules:
1. Pumpkins can be decorated, carved, or painted.
2. Take a picture of you with your pumpkin and email it to socialmedia@scr1.org. The email must include the entrant's first and last name, grade or division, teacher’s name if applicable, and attached photo of you with your pumpkin.
3. Picture, registration form, and entry fee must be submitted by Monday, Oct. 28.
4. $5 per entry. Send registration form in with check or cash to the appropriate office. (One form per entry.)
5. Voting will take place Oct. 30. Winners will be announced on Oct. 31.
6. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons will be given out to each grade level and each division. Divisions: Each Grade Level, S.C. R-I Employee, S.C. Parent, and S.C. Fans.

The middle school publications staff attended the Jostens yearbook workshop at Cape Central High School on Oct. 3rd. Staff members participated in an all day hands-on photography session that ended with individual photo submissions for a contest themed "Sidelines & School Spirit". Six out of eight staff members took home top honors in the middle school category. Their prize winning photography is included here!
