At the start of Christmas break, a few of our high school students that participated in the “Sweat for a Vet” challenge had the opportunity to meet with Sgt. Massey of the United States Army, and give him the gifts for the holiday care packages. He informed us that part of the gifts would be taken to Fort Campbell and Fort Leonard Wood for soldiers remaining on base during the holidays. The remaining gifts would be taken to the USO at Lambert Airport in St. Louis for soldiers leaving for deployment during the holidays.
We are extremely proud of each student that stepped up and participated in this challenge. Thank you again to all those that donated. ❤️🤍💙 #SCPride

AT&T Pioneers and SCR1 partnered to provide students at Scott City Schools food over the holiday break. A total of 42 students benefited from this awesome program. #SCPride
JAG students built Gingerbread Houses to raise money for Toybox. The winning house was Gavin Venable and Jonathan Brocks and JAG President Luke Umfleet presents over $100.00 to Mrs. Poole for Toybox.

Today is Party Day at SCE!
Scott City High School students, Luke Holder, Avarie O'brien, Shelby Stroup, and Olivia Ponder came together to create the "Christmas Angels" project. Their mission was to provide holiday hope and love by becoming the Angels of Christmas. This program was an effort to provide support to local families this Christmas season. These students raised $700 dollars to purchase Christmas gifts for 7 Scott City School students. We are extremely proud of these students for illustrating kindness, compassion, and love for others.

Mrs Lenaburg’s classes decided to do a giving calendar and donate the food boxes to a local family. They were so generous that they had enough to donate to 2 families.
Members of Christian Karate bargained with Mrs. Perkins if they scored first on the circuit that she would wear a chicken suit to school! They stepped up to the challenge and did just that! Congrats to our students and you look amazing Mrs. Perkins!!!!
Last weekend members of the Scott City Band joined 60 tuba players from our area to participate in the annual performance of Tuba Christmas. You can catch more members of the band performing Holiday favorites tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. outside JC Penny at the West Park Mall.

The annual Elementary Christmas Store was a huge success again this year! The students really enjoyed shopping for their families and are super excited to bring home their presents!
